Bow Hunters What is the maximum range you will shoot at a deer?

What is the maximum distance you feel comfortable taking a shot at a deer?

While 40 yards is the max shot I will take at a deer I do practice out to 70 yards but that is just for trespassers

I practice out to 50 yards and use compound only. In the stand there are other variables to consider, wind, weather, and light among them. Most of my shots have taken place at less than 20 yards, but with perfect conditions I would be comfortable out to 30 - 40 yards.

I practice out to 40 yards and use a crossbow ,I will not shoot at a deer more then 30 yds there are too many things that can go wrong.

Compound bow: Practice out to 40. Will take shot out to 30. Well, maybe not this year...not getting as much practice time as I have in past years.

I will shoot out to 40 yards,but thats a very rare occasion  I practice out to sixty on a regular basis.
